Forget the past, He has been raised

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. – Mark 16:6

In light of the resurrection of Christ, I believe we’re to look forward, backwards never. Even though we are products of our past we don’t have to be prisoners of it. The resurrection of Christ has justified us by faith. No longer are we held back by the sin of Adam and Eve. The promise made to Abraham has now being fulfilled. And that mean’s God’s love for us is no longer limited by our past. His love is not neutralized by the mess we make of life. We must forget the past and look to the future. This means that we must not be alarmed by the current sufferings of this world, rather we must focus on the endless possibilities that our current circumstance creates for us to share the gospel, to be a good neighbour and to renew our mind and heart.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day”- 2 Corinthians 4:16
